Fostering & Rehoming Orphaned Kittens

Veterinary and Veterinary Nursing students committed to the care and rehoming of orphaned kittens.

What we do.

Our dedicated committee sacrifices a lot of their time taking in orphaned kittens from in and around the Pretoria area, handing them over to our amazing fosterers, making sure they get the best care in terms of deworming, vaccinations, sterilization, nutrition and a lot of love. They are then put up for adoption to find each and every one a loving family.

Fostering

We have about 200 dedicated on- and off-campus fosterers who give our kittens all the love and attention that they need to thrive into their adult years.

Veterinary Care

All our kittens are dewormed and treated for ticks and fleas upon arrival. Dehydrated and sick kittens are immediately assessed and medicated as needed. At 8 weeks, 12 weeks and 16 weeks of age, each kitten gets their routine vaccinations including Rabies.

Rehome

After 8 weeks of age, each and every one of our kittens are sent to a home suited to their needs and personality. Adopters are checked to ensure our kittens go to the best possible homes.

Sterilization Days

We run a TNR program on the Onderstepoort campus to ensure the feral colony is not ever-increasing. We also host monthly Sterilization days to aid the community in controlling the feral cat numbers.

Donate

As we are a non-profit organization, we are always in need of funds to help care for our kittens and run our sterilization projects. Please contact us if you would like to make a donation. It will be much appreciated by us and each kitten that comes through our doors.
